The Blue Jubilee Bantam Orpington is a very exciteing project for 2012.

This stunning pullet is one of my first hatched from my breeding pen.

She is by a top quality Jubilee cockerel out of a Blue Red hen that was split for Jubilee.

Replaceing the Black feathers in a standard Jubilee with Blue feathers softens the whole over all appearence of the bird.

Having introduced fresh blood into the Jubilee gene pool this should help to strengthen the breed and provide valuable out crosses.

Taking this colour further a Splash Jubilee will be able to be produced that will give the appearence of a Red Mottled as the Black or Blue feathers will be replaced with white giving a larger White mottle than the Jubilee on a solid Red Mahogony base colour.
