GOLD LACED BLUE ORPINGTON LARGE FOWL 

 FOR 2013 EGGS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE FROM MY GOLD LACED BLUE BREEDING GROUP AS THE BIRDS ARE INVOLVED IN FUTURE BREEDING PROGRAMS.

 The pullets in these pictures have not reached full maturity yet but are already showing a great shape, tremendous depth, full bodied front with a compact frame. In size they compare easily to many of the top standard pullets.

This colour is early in its developement and with selective breeding I hope to improve the lacing throughout the whole bird, extending this down through the skirt and sharpening the lacing through into the cushion.

As with all Blue colouring in poultry when mated together the breeding pen will produce a mixture of Black, Blue and Splash birds.

Improving this colour and strain will benefit from out crossing to Gold Laced Black Orpingtons as their lacing will help add clarity and definition to the lacing and this cross will produce both Black and Blue laced birds in an even split.
